•    Baraka, Amiri // A How To on installing dog doors for walls leading to the outdoors. If you have a pet that needs walking or to be let outside to do it’s business or just to run about in an enclosed area, this was a great article for the handy man who prefers to do the job by himself. Actually, doggie doors for walls offer energy efficiency and more options for choosing a spot for installation in the home as opposed to installing an animal entrance / exit through a house door. His advice was timely and appropriate. His final thought was: If you are handy, then installation should not be an issue, BUT if you’d rather hire a handy-person-for-hire in your area, there definitely should have no trouble at all installing a wall dog door!

•    Dorn, Ed So what would Ed Dorn think of the proliferation of the online fun that includes gambling which is available today. Gambling use to have an unsavory reputation, but no more. Every day you can see people playing online slots and other casino games on their mobile devices while waiting for their flights at the airport, sitting on the bus traveling from point A to point B, waiting in a doctor’s office, well, you get the point. Pretty amazing if you think about it. But for our kids, it’s no big deal. Online games abound for everyone. Anyone with a Facebook account has seen Words with Friends and Candy Crush. Talk about addicting games! Since Dorn’s writing was mostly socially and politically oriented, he would probably have a field day with the impact the internet continues have on us.
